hahahahahahaha
it took me 8 hours but i finaly figured it OUT
first go to ftp://ftp.acer-ee.com [if you’re from Europe] or ftp://ftp.acer.com from USA.
then use an SD card , optimal 64+ mbs
!!! FORMAT THE CARD VIA PC AS FAT !!! NOT FAT32 [which is default] !!!!!
1. copy all OS Image files to SD card [now formated as FAT system]
2. hard restart Acer n35 device [move knob to the left]
3. Instert the SD Card
4. Hold the power button, and move the hard reset knob to the left
5. aproximatly count 4 sec. and release the power button
6. the screen will say SD DOWNLOAD [not DOWNLOAD IMG] and then after ~10 sec. the Orange bar will appear
7. The device will reboot automatically after it has completed flashing .
THAT’s it... the FAT32/FAT thing.... god damn , 6hrs lost on that ****...
Hope you won’t loose so much .. :)
One more thing , to upgrade to the files in
n35_sdv1.40.32_wwe.zip
just use the procedure above
if you want to upgrade to files in
n35_SE_v2.10.12_WWE_SD.rar
first load onto your SD card the files from
n35_SE_Eboot 6.2.rar
then reboot device
and load onto SD card the files from
and repeat the flashing procedure.
The last part _WWe , FRA , ESP , GER denotes that the software in files is in that language and WWe is World Wide...
Bye guys ..just converted my acer n35 **** from Spanish to plane good old English

Problem:
Solution:
The hardware need to do a USB upgrade are (1) a 3-in-1 cable which has power jack, 26-pin connector, USB host connector and
USB device connector (2) a desktop running Windows 98SE, 2000 or XP with USB sockets (3) a n30 device no earlier than pre-PVT.
The following USB upgrade procedure.
1. Backup all data onto an external memory device such as SD/MMC card. (You can skip this step if you don’t want to do the backup.)
2. Unzip or copy all the USB upgrade files in one folder.
3. Set n30 hard reset switch to left.
4. On desktop’s ActiveSync, uncheck the “Allow USB connection with this desktop computer.” in File --> Connection Settings. (You can skip this step if you don’t install ActiveSync on the desktop.)
5. Use external power in case n30 is battery low while upgrade, and connect n30 to the desktop.
6. Run n30 Flash Tool which is AcerUSBUpdate_n30_XXX where XXX means the language version.
7. Check the “I understand the notes and the readme file.” in n30 Flash Tool.
8. Press and hold the power button, then switch the hard reset switch to right.
9. Wait for at least 4 seconds, then release the power button. The LCD screen will become all white.
10. The desktop will detect there is a unknown USB device inserted. Please install the USB driver for n30 USB upgrade.
The USB driver name is “secbulk.inf” located in same folder as n30 Flash Tool. (You can skip this step if the desktop does not ask you to install the driver which means the USB driver is already installed.)
11. Click the “Upgrade” button in n30 Flash Tool.
12. If there is any error during USB upgrade, the Flash Tool will display the error message. Please correct the error, then repeat from Step 3.
13. If the Flash Tool displays “Download success. n30 will reboot automatically!”, that means the OS image is successfully written onto the
n30’s SDRAM. Please wait another 3 ~ 4 minutes for n30 to erase and flash the ROM. When done, n30 will reboot.
