AVI Revolution 1.1
Hi, this program was write to help make very good DivX avi. With AVI Revolution, you can merge a Low bitrate movie with a High bitrate and get in final, the best of both. AVI Revolution look for greate differences between frames. Where it think that is a good idea get from high bitrate it gets else it gets from low bitrate. And better, it to this all automatic! The only think you must supply, is the percent of difference.
To merge your avis, you must need at least, enough disk space to save more one avi. Depending of the quality choose, the size will be between low and high.
Percent: choose the quality of your final avi.
0 = best quality, but bigger size (same as high bitrate)
100 or more = poor quality, but smaller size (almost low bitrate)
A good choice is between 40% - 70%. When the move has fast action, AVI Revolution detect more difference and get from the righ. And this depend directly from the bitrate encoded the two movies. If there are a greate distance from low to high, this number must be bigger, if the difference is small the number must be small (to ‘see’ differences).
Scan Accuracy: the accuracy to see differences
100% = scan all the picture. More accurate, more slow.
Other, scan a part of the picture. Less accurate and more fast.
Frame Drop Accuracy: How many frames are not computed.
0 = none frame is droped. More slow
10 = process 1 frame and drop 9, this is very fast but less accurate.
When you use more frame drop, you need to set a little less percent difference to get the same result.
Low and High: Show how many frames interval it gets from low and high movies.
Difference: Max, min and current difference between one key frame and the next.
Time: Time statistics.
Frame: Current processing frame.
To AVI Revolution works well, there are some consideration about avi files.
· You must encode only the video. Use other software to join the sound.
· Choose 2, 3 or 4 seconds between each key frame. This make AVI Revolution more accurate.
· The low bitrate is like a base movie. If high avi has more frames, it will be cutted.
· Never swap low with high. The result will be not good :)
· When droping more frames, set less percent.
To choose the movies, use the menu or double click in the picture area.
One example that I have here: I make a low avi with 1000kbps (980MB) and a high with 3000kpbs(1800MB). I use 25% of difference and I get the final avi with 1050MB, and all the fast action movies it gets fro the high bitrate avi.
