I acknowledge Bert Hellinger for making us conscious of the Field that many of us
knew unconsciously through Breathwork and Voice Dialogue and took for granted.
Bert has brought the Constellated Field from the unconscious to consciousness. I
honor his courage and his greatness.
I sent an early version of this book to Philippa Lubbock when I was lost with it. Phil
gave me a jolt in the right direction with remarks like “The opening line is a kind of
footnote.” How right she was. Among other useful remarks was her acknowledgment
“How you work with fairy tales is masterful.” I had not noticed, nor did I feel
masterful in the draft Philippa read, but I do now. Philippa introduced me to Family
Constellations and was my primary teacher for them, besides Bert Hellinger. I share
the good karma from writing this book with Philippa.
Ewa Foley (www.foley.com.pl) brought me to work in Poland for the first time in 1996
and has supported my work through patches when I was reluctant to continue. If
anyone has been my life coach, it’s Ewa, in her sensitive, tactful, and almost invisible
way. I’m grateful. I’m also grateful to all my students and group participants in Poland
for being a marvelous group of people, daring, committed, and exciting to work with.
Two of my father’s sisters attended the university in Vilnius when it was part of
Poland. When I go to Poland, in a way, I come home.
Much Conceptual Constellations work was developed in Switzerland. Thank you too to
these group participants for their courage and encouragement. The first training I
taught in Conceptuals was in Brussels, organized by Isabelle Doornaert. Thank you,
dear Isabelle, and Olivier too, for the privilege of working with this advanced group of
constellators. It was thrilling.
I leave you to guess about my children’s contribution to this book.
My husband, Johannes Bronkhorst, walks with me along my path, our path, and dares
