kits in the last few issues? I didn’t
plan it that way, it just sort of hap-
pened. I guess what surprises me
the most is the quality of snap kits
these days. When I was younger (a
long time ago), snap kits were very
simple, almost “toy” like in their
appearance.
Todays snap kits are gorgeous. In
this issue I build the Polarlights ‘64
Pontiac GTO kit (pictured to the
right), when I first opened the box
and looked through the parts trees,
I kept thinking, “this can’t be a snap
kit?”. The detail in this kit is great. I
know there isn’t a 100+ parts in the
kit, but that’s the beauty of it, there
doesn’t need to be that many parts
to build a nice replica! With some
detail painting, and some careful
planning, you can make it look like
a more detailed kit.
I guess as we get older and build
more and more kits, you begin
