Welcome to the January edition, the first of 2016! I hope you enjoyed Making Cards last year and all
the amazing projects and craft papers brought to you by our wonderful team of talented contributors.
I am so proud of all the work they produce. The team and myself are looking forward to bringing you lots
more over the next 12 months. Starting with January!�½
We have so much to share with you! Over the pages you will find super techniques such as brilliant
backgrounds with shaving foam and making embellishments with shrinking plastic, new products from
your favourite brands such as Tim Holtz Mosaics kit and Sheena Douglas stamps, the introduction of
new brands such as Paper Nest Dolls, Julia Spiri Stamps and All Dressed Up Stamps, new contributors
(welcome Kelly Lloyd, Katie Skilton and Stephanie Beauchemin!) as well as your favourite contributors,
fabulous photos of Joanna Sheen as a teenager and much much more!
Due to the popularity of our colourful Arty Animal craft papers in the October edition we have made
the decision to extend the collection with another set of wonderful animals in the same funky style!
Flick through your free craft papers and you will find dogs, giraffes, monkeys and more - all beautifully
illustrated in the same painted designs. Your second set, Owls and Leaves, features pretty backgrounds
of fallen leaves and trendy owl illustrations with decoupage elements. The versatility of both sets perfectly
demonstrated by Emma and Kitty in the 18 projects ideas provided in your centre pages.
You asked and we listened - many of you requested more ‘winter birthday’ cards and as a result - ta dah!
Winter buddies and Stamped winter fun are just two sets of cards that can be used for winter birthdays
in this edition - often harder to make for than those in the summer.
Although it seems that it can’t POSSIBLY be true, we are fast approaching Valentine’s Day. Inside this
issue you will find a couple of projects including a set using a personal favourite brand of mine, Avery Elle,
the sentiments are just genius!
As always we have a super spread of new products for you to peruse, fab prizes to be won, and if your
New Year’s resolution is to keep a tidy craft space - check out Bits to buy on page 20 for a selection of cool
storage options! Whilst on the subject - check out the crafty New Year resolutions of other readers on page 22!

WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UP TO?
We’ve been making New Year resolutions too! Clo is going to try to spend less on clothing,
Aev is going to decorate the kitchen after five years of planning to do so, Jo is going to
make more of an effort to see old friends and I am going to have to carry over la
year’s resolutions – to break a world record, after failing the resolution this year!
