Opening the catalogue to view the contents
On the main menu, click the name of the country that you would like to view. This will open the
necessary file in the Adobe® Reader® application.
Paging through the catalogue
There are two ways to browse through the catalog on the CD using the Adobe® Reader® tools
included.
Bookmarks
On the left side of the screen there is a list of major sections of the catalogue.
If your bookmarks are not displayed, click on the “View” menu, then “Navigation Tabs” and
finally “Bookmarks” to display them.
To jump to one of the sections, click on that section name. For example, click on “United
Nations, Offices in New York”, and you will jump to the United Nations, Offices in New York
portion of the catalogue. As you can see from the example we are now at the United Nations
section of the catalogue.

The Scott Catalogue CD allows you to browse the catalogue page by page also.
Simply click on the right-facing arrow at the bottom of the Adobe® Reader® window to advance
a page and the left-facing arrow to go back a page.
The arrows with the bars will take you to the first page (left arrow with bar) and the last page
(right arrow with bar) of the catalogue.
If you know the page number you would like to jump to, you can type that page number in the
window provided and hit the enter key.
Adjusting your view on the screen
You can enlarge the text and illustrations up to 6400%.
To enlarge view
Option 1: Select the magnifying glass icon on the tool bar.
Click the magnifier pointer on the portion of the page you want to focus on. The page will
enlarge. You can continue to click on this same area and it will continue zooming into this
portion of the page until you have it as large as you desire.
Option 2: The other option is to select the percentage of the reproduction. You can do this from
the top of your page. Click on the drop down and change to the desired percentage (%).
Auto sizing a page
To resize the page to fit entirely in the window, click the “Fit Page” button
.
To resize the page to fit the width of the window, click the “Fit Width” button. Part of the page
may be out of view.
To return a page to its actual size, select 100% in the zoom box.
Searching for items in the catalogue
Method 1: Performing a “Search”
To search for items in the catalogue, select the “Edit” menu and then click “Search”.
The following dialog pane will appear on the right side of the window.
In the “What word or phrase…” field enter the keyword that you are looking for. For example, if
you are looking for a specific Scott Number you can enter the Scott Number in this field.
Click on the “Search” button. Adobe® Reader® will begin searching through the catalogue for
the first word (or number) that matches the information you keyed. Your results will be
displayed below the search form. Just click on an item to go to it in the document.
