MEET THE EXPERTS…
Michael Adkins collects stamps from countries, colonies
or occupational forces which no longer exist. Michael
manages the website DCStamps.com and writes our regular
‘dead countries’ series which this time examines the stamps
issued by the Kuban Cossack Army (page 55).
David Bailey has been trading in Portobello Market, on
and off, since 1995. ‘These days, he has a permanent
pitch in the Portobello Saturday Market (though not
when it’s raining). On page 46, David reveals why GB
Officials proved too popular with collectors.
Professional writer Chris West has written about many
different subjects, from crime fiction through history to
how to start a business. He has written two books on
stamps, including
First Class: A History of Britain in 36
Postage Stamps
and writes our Stamp Story on page 52.
