PO library Parallel Logic in issue 52 of Commodore
Format. The PLPD Intro demo that was sent to you
stated that PLPD's catalogues could be obtained by
sending an SAE to us here. That is no longer correct,
because I have now decided to create the catalogues
on disk instead. So, as of January, you can receive a

The back cover of CF should be reserved for
PowerPack into (see CF48) and not wasted with
adverts for console magazines. It's only a subliminal
way of saying, 'Hey, dump the 54 and buy a console.'
A more positive approach would be to contact
people who are now supporting the 64 scene in the
UK and convince them to advertise in CF regularly.
These include Visualize, Apex, Psytronik, M&P and

Mind Maze
Written in 1993. Mind Maze is one of those puzzle
games that looks ridiculously easy but manages to
overheat your brain before you reach the third level
To start oft, stick your loyoad in either port one or two,
load the game, then get ready to hit the fire button.
The idea of Mind Maze is to clear all the blocks
from the screen within a pre-delermined, and very
short, time scale. To reach your objective, you need
to move the flashing cursor over the block you want
to remove and press hie. Now, the will make the
chosen block and those immediately left. right, above
and below it disappear.
Unfortunately, if the block you choose has an
empty space next to it. pressing fire will make a new
block appear in that space. Sc it's a case planning
ahead, which isn't easy when your up against the
clock Then, just as you're getting into the swing of
things, the controls change so that rather than the
blocks or spaces immediately adjacent to your
chosen block changing, the ones to the top-left, lop-
right, bottom-left and bottom-right are affected.

The Darkest Road, which originally strutted its sluff
on the old Speccy, is a huge text adventure in which
you must defeat the evil Black Wanderer with the 1
magic of the Silent !Song. But before you can do •
thie, you must travel through lands foul and fair, 4
snog a mermaid and generally avoid any of the
unpleasant traps that await you.
The game is well executed and follows all the
usual adventurey rules. There are four different fonts
to choose from, and you can seed these using the
Fl button. There are also two different tunes, which
you can toggle 'between with F3 and F5, and if you're
playing in the dead of night you can turn the music
off with F7.
The game is in two parts, and well be putting the
final part of this heroic tale on CF-55's PowerPack.

As Bee number 52 your
job in this demo is to collect
as much pollen from the
flowers as possible and then
return to your hive without
bumping into any of the insects or
creatures that are out to make your tile as difficult as
is conceivably possible.
The idea here is to collect enough pollen to fill
your honey pot. But be careful: you can only carry
three flowers' worth of pollen at a time,
and if you get hit, you lose the loll

This Thins clone hells from the chilly provinces of
Poland. As ever, the idea is to rotate and fit the
falling blocks together to form complete lines at
the base of the pit. Unlike the traditional game,
however. Arms offers you an incentive in the form
of a picture. So every time you complete the task
set (whether you have to complete a single line or
a computer-designated number) you receive a
fine of the picture.
The game is controlled with a joystick in port
two. Press fire on
