After having written the melody, Berlin quickly gets back to his office and told her secretary: "Take a pen and please
write this song. I have just written my best song, maybe the best song that whoever has ever written!" The most famous
version is certainly the one that Bing Crosby recorded in 1942 with the Trotter Orchestra and the Darbies Singers, one of
the records most successful in the story of the Music Industry.
An American nostalgic Christmas song written in 1943 by Bick Ram, Kim Gannon and Walter Kent. Published the same
year of the Bing Crosby’s version of White Christmas. During the second war this song has been a big success.
Later this song has been performer by numerous famous singers including Perry Como and Franck Sinatra.
Written by the Canonico Agostino Sanna (music) and by Babbai Pedru Casu of Berchidda (lyrics), adapting some po-
pular Sardinian melodies. Simple compositions, adapted to be sung by children. This song evokes the sounds of the
nature: a nightingale sings in the deep night and a calm river that tells of mysterious joys. Sanna was organist in the Ca-
thedral of Ozieri and director of the "Schola Cantorum" of Sassari and therefore to Berchidda as deputy-priest from 1927
to 1930.
Composed in 1719 by the English writer Isaac Watts that readapts a Psalm devoted to King Davide. The melody is
based on the Messiah of the German composer Georg Friedrich Häendel, and then readapted in 1836 by Lowell Mason.
Written in 1943 by Hugh Martin and firstly interpreted by Judy Garland for the film "Meet Me in St. Louis".
Franck Sinatra has later recorded a most famous version.
Mel Tormé one of the most elegant Jazz singers wrote this classical “holiday’s song” with Bob Weels.

This
song evokes a celestial night and the happiness of the man for the birth of his child that liberates him from the
punishments of the hell.
This is a nostalgic and little known Norwegian traditional song.
The simple and effective melody is sung in the roads and in the houses of the whole Scandinavia since December 13,
day of Saint Lucy, by girls dressed of white that hold in their hand a lighted candle.
Traditional Christmas song written in 1868 by the American bishop Phillips Brooks and his organist Lewis Redner com-
poser of the melody. This song has been probably inspired after a travel that Brooks did three years before in the Holy
Land.
One of the most beautiful compositions of Agostino Sanna and Pietro Casu. Protagonists the angels singing in the sky.
It is difficult to determinate the paternity of this song.
The only certainty is the name of whom transcribed the text and the melody: sir John Francis Wade, that would have
picked it from an Irish popular theme in 1743-1744 for a Catholic choir of Douai, town located in the north of France, at
that time center of reference and shelter for the Catholics persecuted by the Protestants in the British Islands.
