to the October issue of Parchment Craft
Wendy Walters’ Christmas Time (Page 30).
It’s a design which can be framed and brought out
each year and comes complete with a matching gift
tag. And if that’s whet your appetite for more Christmas
ideas, can I suggest that you place an order for next

Rather than perforating the apertures with a multi needle tool,
trim with a knife and decorate with peel off strips.

Trace
¡
Attach a plain piece of parchment
to the pattern and trace the top
layer elements (bunting,
apertures and border.
¡
On a second piece of parchment
trace the inner layer (the cakes
and the border).
¡
Trace the tag (twice) on a scrap piece
of parchment and again on a small
piece of card.
Colour
¡
On the back of the parchment and
on both layers, colour the cakes and
bunting with a variety of coloured
felt pens.
Emboss
Perforate
Cut
Emboss
¡
On the top layer emboss the borders
of the card, the three apertures and
the bunting with a Stylus tool.
¡
Use Multi Grid No. 37 to add in the
flowers and butterflies. (If you
don’t own Multi Grid No. 37,
change the design to suit, either with
an alternative Multi Grid or add a
freehand embossed design).
¡
Emboss all of the elements on the
cakes on the inner layer.
¡
Emboss the outside edges of the tag
and the three horizontal lines.
¡
Emboss different patterns on the
cakes and bunting (Kay used her
Star tool along with Multi Grid No. 25
and 37).
¡
Lightly emboss the tops of the cakes.
¡
Working on the front of the
¡
Using parchment scissors cut
parchment, emboss every other
between the Angle, Two and Four
section of the base of the centre cake.
Needle perforations.

Perforate the left and right hand
sides of the card with your Two
Needle perforating tool.
Perforate (shallow)
Emboss

Shallow perforate all of the Angle
tool and Four Needle perforations
as shown on the diagram, on both
layers and tag.
Finishing
¡
Emboss and then re-perforate.
¡
Apply the Diamond sparkles,
liquid pearls and coloured gems
to decorate the card.
¡
Insert a trimmed piece of card and
sew the three layers together at
the spine.
¡
Position the tag onto the main piece
and add the punched flower.
