Follow the steps below to save the FPA 5000 history log as a text file to 
your PC.

Assign a printer to the panel controller RS-232 interface.

Open the "printer management" node, double-click on the printer and select 
printer type "other". Port properties (default) = 9600 8N1

Connect your PC COM port (normally COM 1) to the panel controller COM port 
with a standard 1:1 cable (programming cable)

Download file to panel.

Open desired hyperterminal file "log file COMx.ht" located on the installation-CD.

Go to "Transfer/Capture Text" and type in the location and name of log file to be 
created, i.e. C:\log.txt.

Hit "START" button.

Go to "MAINTENANCE / HISTORY LOG" and hit the "print" key. Print out the log file on the printer 
assigned to the panel controller COM port.


Estimated time for complete log file transmission approx. 7 minutes.

ATTENTION!!: After the download the printer will be permanently assigned 
to the panel controller interface. For future downloads the interface must be
re-assigned to "direct connection" under "MAINTENANCE / Change Device on V24 Interface"

Die ?bertragung des kompletten Hintergrundspeichers dauert ca. 7 Minuten


ACHTUNG!!: Nach dem Laden in die Anlage wird der Drucker der Panel Controller Schnittstelle
permanent zugewiesen. F?r sp?teres Laden in die Anlage muss die Schnittstelle wieder f?r die 
"direkte Verbindung" zugewiesen werden unter "WARTUNG / Ger?t ?ndern an V24 Schnittstelle".
