Pikachu Pattern

Description
This crochet pattern will instruct you in creating your very own little Pikachu. Using specified
materials will result in a doll with a height of a little over 6 inches with the ears. Using a
different size yarn and hook will result in a different sized doll.
Difficulty
This pattern requires intermediate crochet skills. Skills required include:
Crochet in rounds (concentric rounds recommended)
Changing colors mid round
Sewing pieces together, including whip stitch

Red Heart Super Saver brand yarn, worsted weight, colors:

Crochet hook: size G/6 – 4.25 mm
Solid black safety eyes: size 12 mm

This pattern uses materials that contain some small parts. Young children should be supervised
when handling the finished product.
Abbreviations
ch - chain
sc – single crochet
inc – increase
dec – decrease (invisible decrease recommended)
[ ] x# – repeat the instructions inside the [ ] # times
[ ] around – repeat the instructions inside the [ ] for the whole round
magic ring (also called magic circle) – a technique to make the first round. You can also
use the traditional method of: ch 2, [sc] x6 in 2nd ch from hook.
Instructions
It is recommended to read though the entire instructions before beginning so you know what to
expect. For best results, continuously stuff while crocheting. Yarn colors are in
bold.
The
instruction tables list the round number, instructions for that round, and total number of stitches
in that round. Before sewing it is recommended to pin the parts together so you can correctly
position them.
