Summery:
Ages have past since the creation of the Virtual Dream Era or the
VDE, all of humanity has utterly
abandoned
reality in favor of a
personalized virtual world. Physical bodies are of little importance
anymore, as each now resides in the "Sensory Deprivation Pods",
only ever waken from their eternal slumber when a physical need is
required to be met. The wonderful creator of the VDE is known as
Dragonfly
, who sought to create a carefree world of no worries, no
suffering, or pain, a world where creation is in it's purest form, no
limits, endless possibilities, the depths of the human mind can now be
explored to the fullest.
Follow the story of the 4 players, that will be taken down roads and
paths that bring an element of chaos and intrigue all at once. As the
mysteries unravel, each player will discover their own role in this
world, and just what exactly the story has to offer!

Player Roles
: 1 Path Reader, 4 Roleplayers
Descriptions of Roles:
RolePlayers
:
The four roleplayers will pick a number 1, 2, 3, or 4 for identification purposes. Players must
keep the letter they pick but can fully customize their character such as names and
personalities. It’s best to choose a username to go by.
Their job is simple, when a “Path” is read out loud to the RolePlayers by the Path Reader; they
will act out the scenario. The scenario can last as long as the players desire
until they feel they are ready to move on to the next scenario. Players can add anything they
want, as long as it stays in context with the scenario given by the Path Reader.

: “Player 1 is being picked on by Player 2 ” Player 1 and 2

act out what has been described in the given scenario however, it is not limited to these
characters. In other words, 3 and 4 can participate if desired.
Path Reader
:
The Path Reader will be in charge of asking the roleplayers to pick path A, B, C, or D
WITHOUT
reading the scenario that goes along with the assigned letter. The scenario will be
read
AFTER
a letter is picked by the roleplayers.
Example
: Path Reader will ask “Do you want to choose path A B C or D” to the RolePlayer.
Let’s say the RolePlayer chooses C. Now path C will then be read out loud to the players which
then they will act out.
Choosing a path
: Your roleplayers will take turns choosing a path individually.
Goal Of The Game:
The intro to the story is to be read out aloud to all players. As a group depending on your
choices, the game will be altered in many ways and will have multiple endings.
Key Words:
Key words will let the players understand where they are.

: The player is now in the real word

Pod/SDP
: This refers to the Sensory Deprivation Pod meaning player are in the real world
Dragonfly Village
: This is the main free open virtual world that branches every other world. All
players have access to the main
Virtual Dream Era
: Though this one is obvious, the VDE is more like a console or system if you
will, like a gameboy, computer, xbox, wii, ect.
Story Intro:
“Virtual Dream Era: How The Story Went” is an exciting 5player game, filled with
preset scenarios, which can be acted out in many different ways. The scenarios are
just a base, and do not limit the player's creativity. The “RolePlayers” will be given 4
choices and then a scenario to act out which will be read aloud by the “Path Reader”.
In this world, the vast majority of humanity has
abandoned
all hope and have grown
tired of reality having unhesitatingly chosen to connect into the “Virtual
Dream
Era” aka
VDE, which is a world consisting of the creations of its occupiers.
These occupiers dwell in what are called “Sensory Deprivation Pod” (or S.D.P for short)
which are long slender hibernation pods made of metal. Each pod is are filled with
lukewarm water and allows 1 person to hibernate in it as long as they want. When the
physical body requires a basic need, the occupier will be notified while in the Virtual
Dream Era as well as given the approximate time limit they have before they face the
repercussions of ignoring their needs, if this is their choice. The soothing water almost
completely consumes the person, inside the pod is only
stillness
, as the person lays
face up in utter darkness, allowing their body to float carefree in the center of the pod.
The occupiers tend to feel a sense of floating in a timeless void.
Safety precautions such as faceguards and earplugs are worn by the occupier to
prevent water from getting into their eyes, ears and nose, which ensure a comfortable
state for the body while their mind begins to drift into the Virtual Dream Era.
This is achieved by having multiple water proof wires that connect to the body, which
includes all limbs and the head. These wires allow the occupier to enter into the Virtual
Dream Era that is connected through internet and if the occupier desires, allows
interaction between other occupiers. Whatever you prefer, alone at home, out and about
with friends, it's whatever YOU desire.
As an occupier, you could create your own world in which no one else but you are
allowed access to. The main occupant can also allow other occupiers to connect or just
as easily, disconnect them, or themselves from their own or other worlds.
Occupiers can customize their world to allow certain people access into their creations,
in the instance of needing to leave the pod to fulfill physical maintenance, they can
disconnect from the VDE, they are free to leave the Sensory Deprivation Pod at any
time, with just a mere push of a button, they are logged out of the Virtual Dream Era.
