Hotel „Amadeus” opened in June 2000 at ul. Mikołajska 20, a few steps from Krakow’s Main Square. The hotel is located in a 16th c. townhouse, which has been restored to its original splendour thanks careful alterations and an adaptation conducted according to the rules of art conservation. The historic building’s facade attracts the eye with its rich ornamentation, including the Odrowąż family coat of arms, imitation risalith, stucco cornices, arabesques, and acanthus leaves. The facade is also adorned with a 17th c. oil countenance of the Rosary Madonna by Michał Stachowicz. The gateway houses a wooden Neo-Renaissance door.
The hotel has been erected in the Baroque style, which is reminiscent of the times of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The hotel is administered by the Jan-Pol S.A. company, which has been active in the Polish tourist market for over 15 years. Jan-Pol is also the administrator of Incoming Tourism Office and the three-star PTTK Wyspiański Hotel located in the vicinity of the Amadeus Hotel .
