the dream work, as the
saying goes. That's true in sports, the business
world, in education, with our magazine work, and
certainly in producing those wonderful LEGO sets
on shelves. Whilst we often feature interviews with
LEGO designers in the pages of Blocks magazine, it's important to
realise that every theme and every set that the Danish company
produces is the result of work from a whole host of people behind
the scenes. Their collaboration covers all aspects of research,
design, artwork, testing, production, logistics and much move.
From page 86 this issue we run an in-depth retrospective
look at the 2006 theme EXO-FORCE – the first run at a Big Bang
theme from the LEGO Group – that lifts the lid on some of the
detail and planning that goes into even just the development
stage of a LEGO range, and highlights the many considerations
that come into play when working with an original concept.
At a much smaller scale, producing this magazine is a
collaborative effort with many considerations in mind, and every
feature is the result of a talented group of people with a passion
for LEGO guiding their efforts. Enjoy this latest issue, a lot of love
went into it!
