our next Witcher world adventure begins in Lyria – the first of five
vast lands you’ll explore in
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.
1.
Your subjects will often have interesting things to say... or give. Even though you’re in a rush, it won’t
hurt to hear them out.
2.
Chances are you’ve heard about Lyria, but have you ever seen it in all its glory? Well, make sure
to take in the beautiful view…while it lasts.
3.
The temple gardens are usually closed to the visitors, but the good sisters will surely make
an exception for the Queen. Make use of it – take a tour of the lush greenery, bow your head under
the Mother’s statue. She favours the pious.
4.
You’d think staying close to places of worship would keep you safe from the darkness consuming
the world. Coming here will have you think again. Or perhaps it’s best to avoid this place altogether?
5.
A long time ago, Lyrian plains were a part of an elven kingdom, which collapsed under the wave
of human invasion. Some Aen Seidhe still live here, but they don’t have it easy. Stop by Wetterton
to find out why.
6.
This place has been covered in fog thick enough to cut with a sword. It might just be a weather
anomaly. But it probably isn’t.
7.
It’s easy to miss this area, but you shouldn’t! It’s got a love story to tell and a card fragment
to collect. Oh, and did I mention a two-headed calf?
8.
A fated encounter awaits you here. And with a very interesting character, no less. A common stray,
or is there more to him than it first seems? You’ll just have to find out.
9.
Be wary of Nilfgaardian spies, they’re everywhere.
10.
What kind of a ruler will you prove to be? Merciful, ready to help those in need, no matter the risk?
Or a stern one, unmoved by pleas and tears? This is your proving ground.
11.
A cave... I wonder what’s inside? Veer off the beaten track and check it out – you’re in for
an interesting meeting. But look out for barrels falling from the sky!
12.
If the pillars of smoke and fire seen from the distance are any indication, the city of Dravograd
looks to be under attack. But by whom?
13.
Some of Lyria’s finest cider apples come from the orchards just outside of Cridam. But be wary,
for problems are brewing here, too!
14.
What inspires people to fight monsters? Sometimes it’s a deep-felt, burning need to rid the world
of dangerous filth. Sometimes it’s vengeance for loved ones lost. And sometimes...
15.
Sightings of a highly dangerous creature were reported in this area. Approach only with extreme
caution, hand on the hilt, shields raised.
16.
Seaworthy vessels? This far inland? Very unusual. A dutiful Queen would certainly investigate what
is going on here...
17.
Lo and behold, the capital of Lyria – truly a sight for sore eyes! Yet, it is only here that your adventure
is truly about to begin.
It’s a kingdom teeming with beautiful and curious locations, interesting
characters, and intriguing stories. So many, in fact, that we wanted to
share some of our favorite spots with you – you’ll find them marked
on this special map. Beware though, this land is full of dangers – fierce
bandits, bloodthirsty monsters, and devastating magic... not to mention
the foreign invader knocking on the gates.
And yet, what you see on this map is just the beginning.
Thronebreaker

what we’ve shown you, and another four lands for you to discover on
your own. It is my hope you’ll enjoy all of it to the fullest.
