Introduction --------------- CD Speed is a CD-ROM benchmark which tests the full CD capacity instead of only the first part of the disc. A value of 40 (default) means that the full CD is tested. This will give the most accurate and best results. If you send the dat file together with the brand/model of your CD-ROM drive, I will put the results on my page. This way, you can compare your result with other drives. Do NOT send me BMP files! The DAT file is all I need. key controls: F1: Start test F2: Save data file (CDSPEED.DAT) F3: Save snapshot (CDSPEED.BMP) F4 (ESC): Exit to select a different drive, type the letter of the drive usage: cdspeed x where x is the blocksize 4.
