With using Koma-Mail in the offline mode (can be selected in the main window), you can prohibit that eMails have access to web contents (webbugs). With classifying an eMail-Address as trustworhty web contents can be loaded despite the offline mode. To be undisturbed by incoming spam or newsletters just disable the notification under folder properties for these eMails in this folder. To prevent an overflow of old eMails in your folder set an option under folder properties to automatically move or delete them. You can set the option to automatically delete old messages from the eMail-server (options->server) Koma-Mail runs without any installation, so you can make backups of the complete Koma-Mail folder on a cd or use Koma-Mail from an USB-Stick. Do you alwyas get unrequested messages from the same address? Then mark them this address as "sam" and the incoming eMail is automatically moved to the spam-folder. Use the filter function for example to move newsletters in a certain account or automatically return ready-made answers. When you want to review the eMail-intercourse with a person, make a right-click of the eMail and choose "show eMail-traffic from that person". You can see all eMails which have been received or send from an account under "edit->search eMails". If you want to send a message always to the same group of people, make a group under "options->groups". You have to compose an almost identical eMail sometimes? To regularly make a backup let Koma-Mail create one with every start (options->database). If you want to check the database on failures, set the option under options->database. You do not want that an attachment gets deleted when an eMail gets elimintated? Change that under options->eMail. Koma-Mail deactivates automatically java script and activeX that can be changed under options->security. In the main window you can very easily set Koma-Mail to check eMail or not. Set Koma-Mail as yur default eMail client under options-general options. When you do not want the whole old eMail to be send again with the new one, set that under options->eMail. You want to open an attachment always with the same software? Set that under options->eMail. To decide after how many seconds an eMail gets marked as unread go to the options->viewer menue.
